Synthetic leather is used for car seats, sofas and chairs, handbags, shoes and many other products. For some time, OG has supplied the raw materials for making a variety of synthetic leathers to producers not only in Japan but also in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and China. But now, we have expanded our synthetic leather business beyond material sales to product processing and sales through technical agreements we have with Japanese manufacturers that allow us to provide technical guidance and license technologies to overseas manufacturers. Though this requires us to navigate stiff regulations that countries place on chemical substances, we can utilize our procurement network and know-how to arrange materials for local overseas production. So, we are growing our synthetic leather business by partnering with overseas manufacturers and providing them with the best materials for making Japanese quality products.
